Online Casino Sucker Bets — Part II

Progressive side bets: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You usually place a wager (a dollar is the normal amt.) to try to win a side jackpot that could reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Although big jackpots like this are extremely appealing, they’re also incredibly hard to succeed. You might need to get a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this wager. Also, think about this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side bet each time. That’s $20 you should have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker wager. Just think about what you might have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds using that $20.
Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only one. This shifts the overall casino advantage from 2percent with a single zero wheel to a whopping five% in American. The single number wager has just a one in 38 chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers alternately which have a much smaller house edge.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you bet on it, the house advantage can be a huge 25%. Yes, that isn’t a typo. Due to the large set of numbers you must pick, it isn’t advisable to bet on Keno to often. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But don’t spend all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself bankrupt.
